I love everything that you cook for me. If I save the red tin that I ate all of the cookies that you baked for me for Christmas would you fill the red tin up again for next Christmas?
I would vote for you any day because you are my best Granddaughter.
Love and kisses from Grandma Carol

The State of Missouri has just repealed its ruling on the sale of raw milk ... I am getting some from a local farmer and making this ASAP ... it sounds delicious!

So delicious! The roasting cocoa beans made my kitchen smell delicious, and the final product was amazingly complex and refreshing.

I used some Lundberg basmati I had on hand - I thought it complemented the cocoa and cinnamon flavors nicely. And after reading the back of a beauty product sample, I think I'll save the rice-soaking water for rinsing my face. Next time I think I will also experiment with agave nectar instead of sugar.

Mia -- climb to the top of that soapbox!
You know, I feel like I am subverting big agriculture when I shop at farmer's markets and/or buy directly from the producer. The government's involvement in agriculture, in my opinion, is totally out of whack and promotes policies that are detrimental to the health of its citizens. By buying directly from producers I feel like I'm making a statement about how I want my food produced.

I hope you like the chocolate milk!

I ABSOLUTELY agree that the government should stay out of my kitchen.

Having grown up in this amazing state, I would go so far as to say the government should stay out of ag completely. Then there would be no basis for arguments like, "Organic food is for the wealthy", because all food prices would reflect a free market.

Okay, I will not climb all the way to the top of my soapbox since the issue is obviously quite complex, but suffice it to say it is APPALLING that the government would be so far in the pocket of Big Dairy as to go after such a tiny slice of the dairy market. Especially stings after the political concessions made on the farm bill...

I love Claravale Milk (though my hometown pride cheers Organic Pastures, too, just can't help wishing for glass instead of plastic)!
