Hi Debs - I love Frog Hollow Farms! The most delicious peach I've ever eaten in my life was a white donut peach from there (actually purchased at the Metropolitan Market in Tacoma, near where my family lives). Their preserves are also delicious.

As for the high sugar content, it's true, but it's probably less than any store bought preserves you'll come across -- also, I actually used evaporated cane juice rather than plain old white sugar.

Mmm. I haven't been eating much sugar lately, but that sounds really good. I got addicted to meyer lemon marmalade from some Frog Hollow Farm stuff I bought at the SF market while visiting. Blood orange and rosemary sounds lovely.

By the way, I read your bio and appreciated that Jitterbug Perfume inspired your love of the "most intense of vegetables."

Oh, I just made Blood Orange Marmalade but we used black peppercorns. (I was going to post my stuff soon--though my computer just died, so maybe I shan't.) Though mine was not homegrown blood oranges--how lucky for you. Also, you probably know this, but there is a marmalade/ preservation event listed on is this blog burning.
