You are killing me with these pictures. This food looks so good. I used to be somewhat of a food snob and cook so gourmet but then I had kid then kid then kid. Plus I live in a fly over state and the good food is not as easy to come by as in bay area. I used to live right where you live too. Love your blog.

Michele – I’m sure your patience will be rewarded with delicious locally grown food!

finnyknits – I didn’t plant any squash or zucchini this year, but now that you mention it, I wish that I had… at least my farmer’s market tends to have many varieties for not too much $$, but it’s still not the same as growing it yourself. Good luck with yours! I look forward to reading about your preparations — with squash one is usually forced to get creative

Oh! Reading my mind! I have Ronde de Italia squash coming up in the garden and had my first taste last night in a soon-to-be-posted pasta primavera recipe. Very good!

I’ll have to try yours out, too. Since I’m sure we’ll, ahem, have plenty of squash soon. Especially with the heat we’re supposed to get this week.
