I’m going to try this for my wifes birthday this weekend. She want’s Peach pie. We read “The Eater’s Manifesto” It talks about eating foods in their more natural state and more…what is Crisco Anyways? This recipe looks great. I can’t wait to surprise her with it.

that’s a great looking recipe. Cooking with bacon fat sounds pretty unusual these days doesn’t it? That said I know you can buy filters and canisters for bacon grease on the web specifically for saving the grease for cooking.

This sounds wonderful for a savory tart or quiche! I’m sure the move overseas is challenging. What a good idea to try and clean out your pantry beforehand.
