I had to laugh when I saw that last paragraph. I am headed to England on Monday and will have a suitcase full of chipotles in adobo, Hatch chilies and many other Mexican specialties for my friend who is experiencing a serious jones.

Kelly — a Rick Bayless book is on my list of cookbooks to buy once I am back. Do you have any specific suggestions?

I have come across a few of his recipes, and they look great (and certainly along the same vein as Dianne Kennedy). I bet that if you like his books, you would like some of her stuff too

Ooh. Glad to hear your move back is so soon. I love San Francisco so I personally know I would be missing it. That dish looks delicious though. I will have to check out her cookbooks. When it comes to Mexican I’ve always been a Rick Bayless fan (huge crush!) but I’ve always heard good things about her books as well.
