I hope things are going well with you! Marla - Thanks for your nice words! What a beautiful area of the word you live in! I just returned from a year in Germany, and we traveled extensively in Italy. On a different note, in Germany I learned to make a delicious savoy and garlic soup. Finely chop a LARGE amount of garlic (like 2 or 3 heads), saute in olive oil, then add a flavorful chicken or vegetable stock. Cut the cabbage into thick ribbons and add to soup. Top with homemade croutons made with lots of butter. Very delicious! I am curious what your favorite preparations are? denise – you are welcome! I hope things are going well with you!

I was sucked in as we live in the savoy region of Italy(Piedmont) and not only do we eat savoy cabbage from our garden all winter, but braising is one of the most favored methods of cooking here, so this recipe is quite welcome. I look forward to exploring your site more as well as it seems to appeal to my particular viewpoint of food as well. Nice to stumble upon you. What a delight to discover your site from Blogher.
